That’s right—the dumbest trend of the 2010s is back, and we’re making it demure and artsy.

How To Join:

1️⃣ Animate your OC getting iced (10 sec – 1:10).

2️⃣ Nominate 1-3 animators to suffer next (depending how hectic it gets).

3️⃣ Join the discord and send the clip there by July 20th! (Date might get moved)

Please also comment on this post with the challenge (just copy link or something) so I can easily connect them all and make an epic montage!

The Specifics

Style/Theme: Go crazy, treat it like your own segment as long as it's SFW and not too unhinged

Technical Requirements:

Length: 10 seconds - 1:10
FPS: 12+ (from an animatic to literal butter)
Stage Size: 1920 x 1080 (Landscape)
Format: Video (mp4 or mov)
Please mention who you nominate (a mention in the clip itself)

Revenue/Profit: None, just a goofy collab.

Co-Authors: You can team up but both of you MUST get iced!

Medium: Animated but you can do stop motion and other methods if you wish. (just don't do it yourself cuz that ain't animated)

Rotoscoping is completely fine, its technically animation :D

Also, I don't really know what rotoscoping is so a simple google search told me that it is when you take a video and essentially "trace" (for the lack of a better word) over each frame of the video to make it into an animation.

I'm in no way saying that ALS is dumb or anything, I'm referring to the literal act of dumping ice cold water on yourself as a dumb fun kinda thing ;-;

I have several questions:
1. Do I have to nominate only people that joined this collab?
2. Can I use SFX, voice acting or music in my animation for this challenge?
3. I know that only one OC will get iced, but can I animate other characters too if they don't get iced?
4. What is the timezone for the deadline?
